The First Set: Mindset

In this week’s blogpost we are going to talk about Mindset.


Joyce Brothers said, “ Success is a state of mind. If you want success, start thinking of yourself as success.” After reading this quote the first word that comes to my mind is “Mindset”. Mindset is the way we think and act. Theres a fine line between mindset and perspective. Perspective is the way you see something while mindset is the way you think and act. Our body has four sets: Mindset, Soulset, Heartset and Healthset. Today we will talk about improving our mindset. If we start developing all the four sets each and everyday, in long term we will become invincible. But the problem is that if you don’t improve all the sets together you will gain less. One who improves all four sets together becomes highly productive and energetic. Also he or she becomes mentally tough which is very important.


Once a wise man told me that mindset is very crucial in ones life. Mindset! Pause for a moment and reflect on this word. Ask yourself the question. “Do you have a positive mindset? Do you think positively even when you are confronted with failures?” Having a positive mindset is very important. If you will have a positive mindset you can achieve anything. Today most of the people think negatively and I think that social media is the main cause of negativity. People when see other people enjoying, they feel that they are missing out and curse them. They don’t see the big picture. People show only happy moments on social media. We don’t know the reality.I am not saying you should quit social media, if you follow negative content than unfollow. Rather I would say unfollow anyone and stay away from people who robs you of your mental peace. Also watch the content you consume. Dr. Vivek Bindra says that the people you hangout with and the content you consume will decide your future.


Isn’t this an obvious thing. If you watch comedy whole day for a long time then your life will become a comedy for others but you will suffer. In short just switch to consuming content which will make you a better person. In the end the person who will stay beside you will be yourself. Now arises the question, “How will you improve your mindset?”. The answer to this is simple. Learn each and every single day of your life. But remember consume content that will make you better and better. Also exercise and meditate everyday. Make a routine and work towards your goals. If negativity comes try to get rid of it. Get busy doing your work and pamper yourself. Self care is the best care. Do things that make you happy. Also filter the content you consume. It plays a very important role in improving your mindset.


The reality is not everyday is the best day. Sometimes there will be days which are dark. But working towards your goals and keeping yourself happy is the best thing to do. If a day is bad try to make is good. Also take action each and everyday towards your goal. In the end I would like to say that nothing works for the one who don’t work for themselves. Also in Bhagvad Gita, Krisnha says that either your mind can be your best friend or your worst enemy.
